The FAT File System Does Not Permit an Open File to Be Moved or Renamed

SYMPTOMS

If you try to move a file that is being held open by another process, the MoveFile function does not succeed and generates error 0x80070005 (Access denied) if the file is stored on a FAT volume. The RAM file system permits this action.

RESOLUTION
