SYMPTOMS

When you reply to an HTML e-mail message, Microsoft Outlook appears to stop responding (hang). If you review the sent e-mail in your Sent Items folder, you see an e-mail message much larger (many megabytes larger) than you would expect when forwarding or replying to an e-mail message of only a few kilobytes in size.

This issue can occur if the following conditions are true:

  • You are using Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor.
  • You have language support installed.

CAUSE

Word is configured to embed TrueType fonts.
