SUMMARY
This article explains how to insert Real Audio files into a Microsoft FrontPage Web page.
If you want to insert Real Audio files into your Web pages in FrontPage, you must first create a folder in your Web in which to store the audio files, and then import the files to your Web. For example, you can create a folder named Multimedia to store sound effects, music files, and so on. After the audio files have been imported to your Web, you can create hyperlinks to the audio files on your Web pages. When a user visits your Web site and clicks a hyperlink to an audio file, the file opens and plays in that user's selected media player.

Import the Audio Files to Your Web
- Start FrontPage and open your Web.
- Under Folder list, right-click the root folder (or another existing folder in which you want to create the new folder), and then click New Folder.
- Type a name for the new folder, and then press ENTER.
- Select the new folder that you just created.
- On the File menu, click Import.
- In the Import dialog box, click Add File.
- In the Add File to Import List dialog box, locate and select the audio files that you want to import, click Open, and then click OK.
Create a Hyperlink to the Audio Files in Your Web
- In Page view, open the Web page in which you want to insert the hyperlink.
- Type the text that you want to use as a hyperlink, and then select the text. For example, type My Favorite Song.

If you want to use the location and name of the audio file as the hyperlink text, position the insertion point where you want to insert the hyperlink. Then, type http://local host/file name.
- On the Insert menu, click Hyperlink.
- Browse to the folder that you created and which now contains your audio files, select the file that you want, and then click OK.
NOTE: You can also drag the audio file from the Folder List window to the position on the Web page at which you want to insert the link. FrontPage creates the hyperlink for you.
