SYMPTOMS
If you use Sysprep.exe to prepare an installation of Windows XP, the following setting in the Winbom.ini file is ignored:
[ComputerSettings]
FontSmoothing=ClearType
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the entries are written to the wrong location in the registry.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS
