SYMPTOMS
Internet file downloads that use the IESAMPLE MSHTML control require twice as much storage memory as is necessary until the file is deleted from the Internet Explorer cache folder (the Temporary Internet Files folder).
The IESAMPLE MSHTML control downloads files from Web servers to the Internet Explorer cache folder first. When the download is complete, the downloaded file is copied to the destination folder specified by the user, instead of being moved.
CAUSE
To decide whether to copy or move a file, a check is made to determine if the file path contains the path to the Internet Explorer cache. This check erroneously does not succeed.
RESOLUTION
A supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows CE 2.12 Core OS QFE 29. To resolve this problem immediately, click the following article number for information about obtaining Windows CE Platform Builder and core operating system software updates:
