This article was previously published under Q297203

SYMPTOMS

Conference participants who attempt to join an online conference may receive the following Web page error message:

Server Store Not Initialized
The Exchange Conferencing Server is not initialized.

The following event is also generated in the Application event log:

Type: Error
Source: MSExchangeCONF
Category: Startup/Shutdown
Event ID: 8212
Description: The Microsoft Exchange Conference Management service could not log on to the Microsoft Exchange Information Store - idling until it can. Error code: 81002746; Message: /o=<Org>/ou=<AG>/cn=<Container>/cn=<conference calendar mailbox>

CAUSE

The MAPI Address Book provider that the Conference Management Service (CMS) uses needs to know the existence of the site conference calendar mailbox. Replication delays or certain configurations may cause the Address Book provider not to find the mailbox correctly.

RESOLUTION

There are two methods to resolve this problem.

Method One

Rebuild the Recipient Update Service:

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Exchange, and then click System Manager.
  2. Click to expand the Recipients container.
  3. Click the Recipient Update Service container.
  4. In the Results pane, right-click each instance of the Recipient Update Service, and then click Update Now or Rebuild to force an update.

Method Two

Create a MAPI profile, and then use Microsoft Outlook to log on to and off of the site conference calendar mailbox.
