SYMPTOMS
When you apply a theme and you insert a photo containing formatted text, text in your photo appears with the theme's default font (Trebuchet MS), instead of the font that you selected.
This behavior may occur if all of the following conditions are true:
- You apply a theme to the page.
- You select the Apply using CSS check box in the Theme dialog box.
- You insert a picture that contains text. The text is added to the Caption and Description boxes in the Photo Gallery Properties dialog box. (Double-click the picture to open the Photo Gallery Properties dialog box.)
- In the Photo Gallery Properties dialog box, the Override and use custom font formatting option is selected.
- The text in the Caption and Description boxes is formatted with Times New Roman.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, apply a different font to the text in the Caption and Description boxes in the Photo Gallery Properties dialog box.
- Start FrontPage and open your page.
- On the Format menu, click Theme, and select the theme that you want to use.
- In the Theme dialog box, click Apply using CSS if you want to, and then click OK.
NOTE: "CSS" stands for cascading style sheet.
- Double-click the picture that you want to add formatted text to.
The Photo Gallery Properties dialog box appears.
- In the Photo Gallery Properties dialog box, click Override and use custom font formatting.
- Select the font that you want to use, and then add text to the Caption and Description boxes. (If the boxes already contain text that you want to save, select the text, and then select the font that you want to use.) Click OK.
