COMTI: Memory Leak When Using TCP/IP MS Link Component

SYMPTOMS

A memory leak may occur when you are using the Transfer Control Protocol/Internet Protocol TCP/IP MS Link component with COMTI.

The memory leak can be seen by monitoring the working set and private bytes performance monitor counters for the Dllhost.exe process that is used by the COM component. In addition, the "Memory: % Committed Bytes In Use" performance monitor counter can be used to track this memory leak.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for SNA Server 4.0. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft SNA Server versions 4.0, 4.0 SP1, 4.0 SP2, 4.0 SP3.

This problem was first corrected in SNA Server 4.0 Service Pack 4.
