FIX: Errors When You Add Aggregations to an Existing Partition

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to add aggregations to an existing partition, you may receive the following errors:

Error( 207): Internal error (Server initializing Partition '{Your Partition Name}' (final)); Time:10/9/2000 2:22:59 PM
Error( 207): Internal error (Unexpected internal error (Partition '{Your Partition Name}')); Time:10/9/2000 2:22:59 PM

You may also notice that you can't process an existing partition but can create a new one.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server OLAP Services version 7.0. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 3 for Microsoft SQL Server OLAP Services version 7.0.
