SYMPTOMS

During a Terminal Services client session that is connected to a Windows 2000-based computer that is running Terminal Services, you may receive one of the following error messages when you try to gain access to a file on a mapped drive:

  • STATUS_UNEXPECTED_NETWORK_ERROR (0xc00000c4)

    -or-

    ERROR_UNEXP_NET_ERR (error 59 in decimal or 0x3b in hexadecimal)

    -or-

    STATUS_CONNECTION_DISCONNECTED (0xc000020c)

    -or-

    ERROR_NETNAME_DELETED (error 64 in decimal or 0x40 in hexadecimal)


RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 3.
