SUMMARY
This article describes support policies for Microsoft BackOffice Server programs that run on a Windows 2000 Datacenter Server-based computer. This article describes program interoperability with the new features in Windows 2000 Datacenter Server, such as four-node clusters and large memory support.

SQL Server
Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 is not supported on Windows 2000 Datacenter Server-based computers.
SQL Server 7.0 with Service Pack 2 (SP2) or later installed is supported on Windows 2000 Datacenter Server-based computers with the following restrictions:
- Two-node support for Windows Clustering
- Support for 16 processors
- Support for four gigabytes (GB) of memory
SQL Server 2000 takes advantage of the new features of Windows 2000 Datacenter Server, including:
- Four-node cluster support
- Support for 32 processors
- Support for 32 GB of memory
Exchange Server
Exchange Server 5.5 with Service Pack 3 (SP3) or later installed is supported on Windows 2000 Datacenter Server-based computers with the following restrictions:
- Two-node support for Windows Clustering
- Support for eight processors
- Support for up to 4 GB of memory

Internet Information Server/Internet Information Services
Microsoft Internet Information Server 4.0 from Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Option Pack is not supported on Windows 2000 Datacenter Server-based computers. Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.0 is included with Windows 2000 Datacenter Server and is fully supported on Windows 2000 Datacenter Server-based computers. IIS 5.0 has the following new features:
- Four-node cluster support
- Support for 32 processors
- Support for 32 GB of memory
Systems Management Server
Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 1.2 is not supported on Windows 2000 Datacenter Server-based computers.
Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2.0 is designated to be compatible with Windows 2000 Datacenter Server. QFE and Hotfix support is offered only when the problem is reproducible on Windows 2000 Advanced Server. QFE support is not offered for Windows 2000 Datacenter Server specific issues such as for performance enhancing purposes or multiple processor issues above and beyond that which is supported by Windows 2000 Advanced Server, which is eight processors and 8 GB of memory.
Windows Services for UNIX 2.0
Microsoft Services for UNIX (SFU) 1.0 is not supported on Windows 2000 Datacenter Server-based computers.
Windows SFU 2.0 is supported on Windows 2000 Datacenter Server-based computers. You can install Windows SFU 2.0 on Windows 2000 Datacenter Server-based computers with the following limitations:
- Support for eight processors
- Support for 8 GB of memory
