Motocross Madness 2: Stops Responding When You Click "Start Race!"

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to start a race in Microsoft Motocross Madness 2, you may experience the following symptoms:

• Motocross Madness 2 may stop responding (hang).
• Textures on the motorcycle, the rider, or the ground may appear distorted.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if a Hercules Power Drive Terminator Beast video adapter is installed in your computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use the following methods in the order in which they are presented.

Reduce the Display Resolution in the Game

To reduce the display resolution in the game:

1. Start Motocross Madness 2, and then click Options ([GRAPHIC: the three gears]) on the startup screen.
2. Click the Graphics tab.
3. In the Display Resolution box, click 640 X 480.
4. Click Back ([GRAPHIC: the pointing hand]) until you return to the startup screen.

Force Textures to Fit in Video Memory

To force textures to fit in video memory:

1. Start Motocross Madness 2, and then click Options ([GRAPHIC: the three gears]) on the startup screen.
2. Click the Graphics tab.
3. Click Advanced.
4. Under Emergency Repair Features, click to select the Force textures to fit in video memory check box.
   

NOTE: This speeds up the game, but reduces the quality of the graphics in the game.

1. Click Back ([GRAPHIC: the pointing hand]) until you return to the startup screen.
