SYMPTOMS
In the Code Librarian, when you click Help on the Help menu or press F1, you notice that the MSDN Library opens on the "Code Librarian" topic, and then stops responding. You also notice that the Code Librarian stops responding.
CAUSE
On the View menu of the Code Librarian, you have turned on the Always On Top command
RESOLUTION
If this behavior has occurred, use the End Task command (press CTRL+ALT+DEL) to close the Code Manager and the MSDN library.
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Developer Service Release 1 (SR-1).

To temporarily work around this problem, open the Code Librarian, click the View menu, and then turn off the Always On Top command.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 Developer SR-1.

Steps to Reproduce the Behavior
- Install Microsoft Office 2000 and Microsoft Office 2000 Developer. Also, install MSDN when you are prompted at the end of Setup.
- Click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft Office 2000 Developer, and then click Code Manager.
- On the Help menu, click Help. The MSDN Library opens on the "Code Librarian" topic. Both applications respond.
- Quit the MSDN Library, and then on the View menu of the Code Librarian turn on the Always On Top command.
- On the Help menu, click Help. Note that the MSDN Library opens on the "Code Librarian" topic; then, both applications stop responding.
