SUMMARY
Office Web Components display one of the following Cross Domain warning messages when accessing data from a domain other than the one from which the Web page originates:
To avoid this message in Microsoft Internet Explorer, you can add a secure Web site to your Trusted Sites zone on the Security tab of the Internet Options dialog box.
MORE INFORMATION
The purpose for the alert is to prevent a Web page author from directing users to a potentially malicious page that uses the security context of the user to access data for which the author does not have access.
If the Web page comes from a source that you trust, you can turn off this warning.
Using Internet Explorer 4.0
- In Internet Explorer 4.0, click View, and then select Internet Options.
- Click to select Trusted Sites zone on the Security tab in the zone settings.
- Click the Add Sites button.
- Add the URL for the site from which the Web page originates.
Using Internet Explorer 5
- In Internet Explorer 5, on the Tools menu, click to select Internet Options.
- On the Security tab, click to select Trusted Sites in the Web content zone.
- Click the Sites button.
- Add the URL for the site from which the Web page originates.
