XWEB: Anonymously Replying to Post in Public Folder Generates Error Messages

SYMPTOMS

When you use a browser other than Microsoft Internet Explorer or a version of Internet Explorer earlier that Internet Explorer 5 to gain access to the Exchange 2000 Server version of Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA), you may receive one or both of the following error messages when you attempt to anonymously reply to a post in a public folder that has anonymous access enabled:

  • Unable to Perform Operation

    Recipient not recognized


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
