SYMPTOMS

A memory leak may result in user profiles being lost.

CAUSE

If Windows does not load the current user profile (local or remote) because of a low-memory condition, Windows issues a new default profile and the existing profile is lost.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT Server version 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS
