BUG: Distribution Task May Fail With "Divide By Zero" Error

SYMPTOMS

In transactional replication the distribution task may fail with this error:

Error : 14151, Severity: 20, State: 1 Replication-Distribution: Task 'Name_of_distribution_task' failed. 22012[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Divide by zero error encountered.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, use either of the following:

Use US Regional settings.

-or-

Use a Msvcrt40.dll file later than version 4.20.6172.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 6.5.
