SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Metadirectory Services (MMS) installer marks an invalid build number in the Zoomserv\Data\Config\Db5cfg file. For example:

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior and correctly identify the build number of your MMS server:

  1. Double-click the MMS Console icon on the right side of the taskbar.
  2. On the Help menu, click About. The build number is displayed in the dialog box that appears.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
