SYMPTOMS

If you use System Policy Editor to enable the Hide drives in My Computer shell restriction option, after you install Service Pack 4 or Service Pack 5 and you restart the computer, you can still view the system drive.

RESOLUTION

Windows NT 4.0

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem.

NOTE: In special cases, charges that are ordinarily incurred for support calls may be canceled if a Microsoft Support Professional determines that a specific update will resolve your problem.
