Article ID: 255635

Article Last Modified on 10/27/2006

APPLIES TO

This article was previously published under Q255635

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server, administrators are able to limit the visibility of Multipoint Control Units based on IP address ranges.

MORE INFORMATION

If the administrator clicks to select the Restrict Visibility check box in any of the three sections of a Multipoint Control Unit, the Visibility tab is parsed for any administrator-defined IP ranges. Only participants with IP addresses that match the IP ranges defined by the administrator will be allowed to join the Multipoint Control Unit.

If the Restrict Visibility check box is checked, but no IP address ranges are defined on the Visibility tab, then no restrictions are enforced.
