SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Outlook Web Access (OWA), in Contacts, any fields that relate to telephone numbers contain the word "Phone" following the location. In Microsoft Outlook, the box contains only the location in the label.

For example:

OWA: "Home Phone"
Outlook: "Home"

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because of the way OWA reads column headings from the information store.

WORKAROUND

The differences in the user interface can be safely ignored.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
