SYMPTOMS
When you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 as a Web-based client, no Edit option is available when you open a message. The message can be either a mail item or an item from a public folder.
CAUSE
This functionality in the user interface was left out of Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Release Candidate 1 (RC1).
RESOLUTION
This issue is scheduled to be addressed in the first service pack for Exchange 2000.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
