SYMPTOMS

If you click the To field in a new mail message, and then enter the first letter of a name in the Type Name or Select from List field, there is no response in the list if there is no corresponding name beginning with that letter in your address list. The first name in the list remains selected.

In Outlook Corporate or Workgroup (CW) the behavior is different. If you typed a letter in the Type Name or Select from List field the focus in the list would move to the next corresponding letter if there was not an address list name beginning with the letter you typed.

CAUSE

This behavior is a design difference between how Outlook behaves in the IMO versus the CW configuration.
