Visio5: Invalid Page Fault in Module <Unknown> Occurs When You Click the File Menu

SYMPTOMS

When you click the File menu, you may receive the following error message:

Invalid Page Fault in Module <Unknown>

NOTE: You will not have this problem if you own any non-English version of Visio.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if you are using a U.S. or an International English version of Visio 5.0 with a non-English version of Microsoft Office 97. The error is generated by the operating system and will vary, depending upon which language you are using.

RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, install Service Release C for your version of Visio 5.0. The following files are available for download from the Microsoft Download Center:
