  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional

SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade to Windows 2000 Professional from an installation of Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows 98 that is configured to use an Epson Stylus 800 printer with the Epson-provided drivers, Windows 2000 may not be able to monitor the printer to determine how much ink is left in the ink cartridges.

RESOLUTION

As a workaround, you may want to contact Epson Technical Support to inquire about the availability of updated Stylus 800 drivers for Windows 2000.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
