During the installation process of Visio Enterprise, you may receive the following error message:

NAVWNT ORDINAL NOT FOUND - The Ordinal 6453 could not be located in the Dynamic Link Library MFC42.DLL

This error occurs if Norton AntiVirus 5.0 for Microsoft Windows NT is running, whether the virus checker is enabled or disabled.

To install Visio Enterprise successfully, you can disable the Auto-Protect feature of AntiVirus, and then run the Visio Enterprise Setup program.

To disable AntiVirus Auto-Protect and install Visio Enterprise:

  1. On the Windows task bar, right-click the Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect icon, and then click Options on the shortcut menu.
  2. In the Norton AntiVirus dialog box, turn off the setting that loads the Auto-Protect feature when you start Windows, and then click OK.
  3. Click Yes on the message that asks if you want to unload the Auto-Protect feature.
  4. Run the Visio Enterprise Setup program to install Visio Enterprise.

After you install Visio Enterprise, you can enable the AntiVirus Auto-Protect feature again.
