SYMPTOMS
When you run the Microsoft IntelliPoint software for Macintosh, you may not be able to use the Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer to select text inside a Netscape Communicator 4.7 Web browser window.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs if the IntelliPoint control panel and the Mouse control panel are both enabled.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, disable the Mouse control panel:
- Quit all running programs.
- On the Apple menu, click Control Panels.
- Click Extensions Manager.
- Under Control Panels, click to clear the check box next to Mouse.
- Click Restart on the Extensions Manager window or click Restart on the Special menu.
When the computer restarts, the Mouse control panel is not enabled.
