SYMPTOMS

When you are using the mouse to click the buttons in the Calculator tool, Narrator does not repeat the last number you clicked. This behavior occurs only when Calculator is in Standard view. This does not happen in Scientific view.

CAUSE

This behavior is caused by a Calculator implementation problem.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, use the number pad or number keys on your keyboard.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

If you click 123456 in Calculator, Narrator reads only "Twelve thousand three hundred and forty five" until you click an operation key such as "+" or "%".
