SYMPTOMS

When you run Outlook on Microsoft Windows 2000 Server with Terminal Services, and you switch from Corporate or Workgroup (CW) mode to Internet Mail Only (IMO) mode, Outlook stops responding when another user logs on through Terminal Services.

CAUSE

The Reconfigure Mail Support button is not disabled.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

If one person changes the configuration of Outlook on Windows 2000 Server with Terminal Services, the change is made for all users of that server. You cannot have mixed Internet Mail Only (IMO) and Corporate or Workgroup (CW) configurations of Outlook on the same terminal server.
