OL2000: Outlooks Stops Responding When You try to Dial a Contact with No Phone Number

SYMPTOMS

When you connect to Microsoft Outlook using Microsoft Windows NT Terminal Server and try to dial a contact with no phone number specified, an hourglass appears and Outlook stops responding.

CAUSE

The server administrator has not turned off the option to dial a contact. To turn off this option the server administrator must use system policies.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
