XWEB: In Internet Explorer 5 When You Save a Post, the Post Window Title Doesn't Change

Article ID: 253092

Article Last Modified on 2/27/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Standard Edition

This article was previously published under Q253092

SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 to compose a new post in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Outlook Web Access (OWA), the New Post dialog box title appears as "Untitled -- Post." When you type information in the Subject field, and save the post, the window title does not change from "Untitled -- Post" to the subject of the post.

This behavior may cause confusion as to whether the post has been saved or not.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.

MORE INFORMATION

After you click Save, the message is saved even though the window title does not change. To verify this, after you save the post, close the post window, click Check for new messages, and then open the saved post. The window title displays the subject of the post.
