This article was previously published under Q252324

SUMMARY

This article describes how to include Windows CE Services components, such as REPLLOG and RAPISRV, in a target device image that is based on the Microsoft Windows CE DirectX Platform Adaptation Kit version 1.0 (DXPAK) MAXDX sample configuration, built with Platform Builder version 2.12.

MORE INFORMATION

The MAXDX sample configuration does not include Windows CE Services components by default. To include those components, from the Platform Builder 2.12 IDE, do the following:

  1. On the Platform menu, click Settings.
  2. On the Environment property sheet, add the environment variable MAXDX_FULL, and then set its value to 1.
  3. Rebuild your target device image.

You can start Repplog.exe on your target device to establish a connection with Microsoft Windows CE Services or Microsoft ActiveSync.

See Wince212\Public\Maxdx\Oak\Misc\Cesysgen.bat for other components that are affected by the MAXDX_FULL setting.
