SYMPTOMS

After you restart your computer with tapes in the tape changer library, you may receive the following error message on a blue screen at the end of the auto inventory sequence:

     Stop 0x0000007f (0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)     
     UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP
                

CAUSE

This issue can occur because of a divide by zero error in the mini class tape drivers ChangerGetElementStatus function.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 1.
