SYMPTOMS
If you use the Extend Time option to extend an Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server conference, the resource does not update its Free/Busy information on the server.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
MORE INFORMATION
When the Free/Busy data is not updated, it is possible to exceed the maximum number of connections for a Conference Technology Provider (CTP). For example, if you have one Exchange 2000 conference resource, Room1(20)
, that uses the maximum number of connections for both the video and data CTPs, when Room1(20)
is invited to a conference that runs from 10:30 to 11:00, and you extend the conference to 11:15 from within the conference by using the Extend Time option, you can still invite Room1(20)
to a different conference that is running from 11:00 to 11:30. This behavior occurs because the Free/Busy data has not been updated.
