PPT98: Slide Navigation Menu Doesn't Show All Slides

Article ID: 251435

Article Last Modified on 10/3/2002

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft PowerPoint 98 for Macintosh

This article was previously published under Q251435

SYMPTOMS

If your presentation contains more than 60 slides, and you point to Go and then click By Title on the Slide Navigation menu, you are not able to see all of the slide titles in the list that appears.

NOTE: To see the Slide Navigation menu, hold down CONTROL and click the presentation while viewing the presentation in a slide show.

CAUSE

This is a design limitation. The viewer cannot show more than 60 slides in the By Title menu list.

WORKAROUND

The only way to navigate directly to slides beyond the 60 displayed on the By Title list is to type the slide number and press RETURN. This displays the slide at the index position typed during the slide show.
