The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Works for the Macintosh, versions 1.x, 2.x, 3.x and 4.0

When using the Microsoft Works Communications module, the Capture Text command captures text while it is being written on the screen. It will not capture text that was written on the screen before the Capture Text command was given.

To capture all of the text, issue the Capture Text command before the text appears on the screen.

In Microsoft Works versions 3.0 and 4.0, choose Start Capture from the Connection menu to capture text. “Always Capture Text” may be set as the default in versions 3.0 and 4.0 in the Preferences dialog. Preferences is found under the Edit menu in Works version 3.0 and under the Tools menu in Works version 4.0.
