SUMMARY
This article describes how to clone or copy a color from one picture to another in Microsoft Picture It! 2000.
When you clone or copy a color from one picture to another, you create a common look and feel between the pictures.

To copy or clone a color from one picture to another in Picture It! 2000:
- Open the picture that contains the color that you want to copy or clone.
- On the Workbench tab, click Cutouts & Pictures, and then click Cut Out of picture.
- Click With a cookie cutter shape, and then select the area of the picture that contains the color that you want to copy or clone.
- Click Next.
- Click to clear the Put your cutout in its own picture check box, and then click Done.
- On the Edit menu, click Cut.
- Open the picture in which you want to apply the color.
- On the Edit menu, click Paste. This inserts the area of the picture that you selected in step 3 into the open picture.
- On the Workbench tab, click Cutouts & Pictures, and then click Cut Out of picture.
- Click By tracing an area on my own.
- Trace the area that you want to recolor, click the green flag, and then click the yellow flag.
- Click to clear the Put your cutout in its own picture check box, and then click Done.
- Click the cutout that you created in step 12.
- On the Workbench tab, click Paint & Color Effects, and then click Fill with Solid Color.
- Use the eyedropper to click the cutout that you pasted into the picture in step 8. The color is copied or cloned to the cutout that you created in step 12.
- Click Done, and then delete the cutout that you pasted into the picture in step 8.
