SUMMARY

In Word version 5.5, the cursor appears as a blinking underscore in both text and graphics mode. You can switch to a nonblinking cursor in graphics mode by starting Word 5.50 with the /i switch. See pages 68-69 of the Word 5.50 “Getting Started” book for more information about command line switches.

Word version 5.0 does not provide a method for changing the cursor appearance. The keyboard cursor can appear only as a nonblinking box in both text and graphics mode.

In Word versions 5.0 and 5.5, the mouse pointer appears in text mode as a solid box and as an arrow in graphics mode. In earlier versions of Word, the mouse pointer appears as a blinking box in text mode and an arrow in graphics mode.
