Moderate: Requires basic macro, coding, and interoperability skills.

The Access Workflow Designer uses a custom subscriber-based conflict resolver. A custom subscriber-based conflict resolver is installed on end-user client computers as a Microsoft Windows .dll file. Consequently, it is possible for malicious users to attempt to bypass column-level security by replacing the Access Workflow Designer custom resolver with their own. If this is done, column permissions will not protect data that is subscribed to. To prevent this, use a publication access list to control which users can subscribe to which data. Or, refrain from adding sensitive data to published tables.
