SUMMARY
The only legitimate redistribution mechanism for Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) version 2.0 or later, is the entire Mdac_typ.exe file. There are many dependencies between the MDAC components since version 2.0. Mixing different versions of components has not been tested and is not supported. Redistributing or installing anything less than the complete Data Access Components stack puts a computer in an unsupportable configuration, which has not been tested and is therefore unpredictable.
