SYMPTOMS

When you try to play an AVI or MPEG file using an LS-120 removable floppy drive in Windows 2000, the files may not play, or the audio and video may appear choppy.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the LS-120 drives (the SuperDisk Sfloppy.sys driver) currently do not have lazy write enabled support.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, copy and play AVI and MPEG files from your local hard disk.

STATUS

This is by design in Windows 2000.
