When you submit a FrontPage form in the browser that includes a scrolling text box, the information entered in the form is not saved, and the form is reset. You do not receive an error message stating that there is a problem.
This problem occurs in the scrolling text box. If the Save page to HTML option is selected and the Include Field Names option is disabled, the Save to File form handler does not save the values of the scrolling text box.
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
To obtain SR-1/SR-1a, click the article number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

To work around this issue, if there are scrolling text boxes in the form, and you want to save the form results in HTML format, make sure the Include Field Names check box is selected.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1/SR-1a.
This problem occurs with the FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions, version 184.108.40.20617 on a Windows NT Server 4.0 computer running IIS 4.0, and on a computer running Solaris with Apache installed.
