SYMPTOMS

If you use Outlook 2000 running on Microsoft Windows NT, Microsoft Windows 95, or Microsoft Windows 98 to publish a Team Folders component to a Web server that is running Microsoft Windows 2000, the following error message may be displayed:

Web Publishing Error:

Error: occurred during HTTP publishing of Web files. Select OK to try another destination to publish your files to or Cancel to exit the wizard.

If you click OK, a dialog box is displayed in which you can specify a different server. If the server running Windows 2000 is the only server available, you cannot publish the Team Folders component.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if Web publishing isn't installed with Windows 2000.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, you must install Team Folders on Windows NT 4.0, then upgrade to Windows 2000.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
