Last Line on Page Printed on Next Page in Internet Explorer 5 for Windows 2000

Article ID: 250816

Article Last Modified on 2/28/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0

This article was previously published under Q250816

SYMPTOMS

When you print more than a single continuous page from the version of Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 (build 2920) that is included with Windows 2000, the last line of page one appears on the second page of the printout. This does not occur in Internet Explorer 5 or 5.01 in Microsoft Windows NT 4.0.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because of the way the Internet Explorer 5 pagination logic works.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, decrease the bottom margin size for the page:

  1. On the File menu, click Page Setup.
  2. Decrease the margin size in the Bottom box. For example, type .5 inches, click OK, and then print again.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
