SYMPTOMS
After you delete the My Computer folder from any of the days in the History list, restart your browser, and then click Stop to prevent the home page from loading, the complete history for that day may disappear.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because the browser uses the My Computer folder in the History list as a local host for the Web addresses.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, delete the individual folder or file items within the My Computer folder. Do not delete the My Computer folder.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
MORE INFORMATION
When the My Computer folder is deleted, all the entries are also deleted.
