SYMPTOMS

When you install the English version of MDAC 2.5 over an existing non-English language version, the existing non-English versions of the .hlp and .chm files are overwritten by English versions. In previous versions of MDAC, this behavior did not occur.

STATUS

This behavior is by design. If a file is not version stamped, then MDAC setup installs it, regardless of the file datetime stamp.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

Install a non-English version of MDAC 2.5, release 4403.11.
Install the English MDAC 2.5, release 4403.11, and not that the files are overwritten by the English version.
