SYMPTOMS

You receive an error message or an access violation in Mshtml when you use the window.clipboardData.setData function for the second time, if the clipboard has been used by another program in the time between the two calls. You may receive the following error message:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Internet Explorer version 5.01 Service Pack 1.
