SUMMARY

Microsoft Metadirectory Services (MMS) includes a tool to record Management Agent (MA) templates in the working folder. It is important to record templates in the working folder after you make any changes. This creates a copy of the templates in the folder so that you have a copy of your customized templates if for some reason the directory is unrecoverable.

For additional information about the Management Agent working folders, click the article number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

MORE INFORMATION

To record MA templates in the working folder:

  1. Log on to the Compass client as an administrator.
  2. Click Bookmarks, and then click Management Agents.
  3. Click the Management Agent.
  4. On the Action menu, click Properties.
  5. Click the Recording Templates tab.
  6. Click Record this MA's templates to its working directory.

In a recovery situation or to move an MA to another location, use the recorded templates to update the MA.
