SUMMARY
Microsoft Metadirectory Services (MMS) includes a tool to record Management Agent (MA) templates in the working folder. It is important to record templates in the working folder after you make any changes. This creates a copy of the templates in the folder so that you have a copy of your customized templates if for some reason the directory is unrecoverable.

To record MA templates in the working folder:
- Log on to the Compass client as an administrator.
- Click Bookmarks, and then click Management Agents.
- Click the Management Agent.
- On the Action menu, click Properties.
- Click the Recording Templates tab.
- Click Record this MA's templates to its working directory.
In a recovery situation or to move an MA to another location, use the recorded templates to update the MA.
