SYMPTOMS

When your Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me)-based computer resumes from standby mode, the computer's status light-emitting diode (LED) may indicate that it is in a suspended state for a few seconds after it has already resumed.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur with a small number of laptop computers with Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) enabled in the BIOS.

RESOLUTION

It is not necessary to attempt to wake the computer from standby mode again.
