SYMPTOMS

Device Manager shows the Intel 82371B PCI to ISA bridge disabled, with the Device Status message:

Windows could not load the driver for this device because
the computer is reporting two ISAPNP.VXD bus types. (Code 2)

CAUSE

This is caused by the system BIOS trying to report its ISA bus type more than once during the boot process. There is no adverse affect to the system or its performance.

RESOLUTION

Contact your motherboard manufacturer for a BIOS update.
